Website Redesign
October has been an incredibly busy month at Frame! I’m really pleased to announce that fr-me.io has been completely redesigned to improve the overall user experience. The main improvement has been the amount of information that’s been included on the Homepage, About section and Community Home, in addition to the level of detail you can now include in your dashboard to help Employers and the Community get to know you better!
To accompany these updates and more, I’d like to invite you all to a live online demonstration of the new features on Thurs 14th November at 5-7pm. This is an opportunity for you to understand why you should use Frame now and how it’s going to help you find employment in the future. All of you are in a unique position where all your ideas and feedback can be implemented quickly to make sure this is a product you actually want to use. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to make changes when there are more users. Please RSVP to the email invite.
Cycle Confident changes and new instructors
It seems Cycle Confident is continuing their experiment with recruiting permanently employed instructors but this time in Hackney. It’s not clear yet how this is going to affect Bikeability courses in the borough but a source within Hackney council has claimed that courses are being booked in the coming months without the funding in place to deliver them! I hope that CC are aware of this information and are planning accordingly…
In other news, Enfield have extended their contract with CC for another year so Bikeability courses should start appearing in instructor’s calendars soon (if they haven’t already). This year has been full of Local Authority news! If you have any more information then please share with me and I’ll ensure that all instructors know how this may affect them in the future.
Group Ride for Mental Health
Finally, one of our new Frame Ambassadors, Tayaab Dilmohamud, is organising a group ride for the Community to promote mental health awareness. It’s been timed to coincide with the Movember campaign this month and will take place on the Sat 30th November. It would be amazing if you could take part in this social event to support the Community while we enjoy riding around our Neighbourhood. For updates, everyone is going to be invited to a Whatsapp group in the Frame Community. You may be part of another group on Whatsapp so this may be familiar to you already but it’s a great way to stay connected using an app we’re all familiar with.
Looking forward to connecting with as many of you as I can at either the online event next week and group ride at the end of the month!
